KILLSWITCH ENGAGE: Photos From The Studio Posted Online

February 17, 2009

Photos of Masachusetts metallers KILLSWITCH ENGAGE in the studio laying down tracks for their fourth album for Roadrunner Records can be viewed at this location. The CD will follow 2006's "As Daylight Dies", which is approaching gold status in the United States (signifying 500,000 copies shipped).

For the first time in its career, the band is working with an outside producer — Brendan O'Brien, who has previously helmed recordings for AC/DC, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, PEARL JAM and STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, to name a few. KILLSWITCH ENGAGE guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, a noted producer in his own right who has recorded all of the band's previous albums, is taking a co-producer role on this record alongside O'Brien.

The band is recording in both Georgia and its native Western Massachusetts. A summer release is expected.

KILLSWITCH ENGAGE is taking part in the Music As A Weapon IV tour, featuring headliners DISTURBED alongside LACUNA COIL and CHIMAIRA. They are also rumored to be the as-yet-unannounced "special-guest" act at this year's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival trek, which will be headlined by SLAYER and MARILYN MANSON.
